BIG Family Portraits!

Hey friends! HAPPY {almost} THANKSGIVING! ๐Ÿ™‚ I wanted to leave you with one last family portrait session before I take off for my little Thanksgiving break with my family. This is a session I did in Dallas with my precious friend and college roommate Molly, and her sister Leigh and both of their families. It was a BLAST (as you’ll be able to see) and we got lots of sweet pics of these little cousins together!

Ginger and Colby’s Wedding

Stan and I had so much fun documenting this unique wedding. Who needs dancing and cake cutting and all that jazz? ๐Ÿ™‚ Not Colby and Ginger!

These guys did my very favorite wedding-planning thing: they centered their wedding day around the things that they enjoy the most, with the people they love the most, and allowed the day to be a true reflection of who they are. Instead of dancing, the activity of the evening was lawn games and it was such a blast! Instead of wedding cakes, they had a dessert bar with brownies, cobbler, and sundaes. Yum! They also played the “Shoe Game” and it was absolutely hilarious!

Thank you, Ginger and Colby, for allowing us to be there to capture all the fun. Thanks to Crystal from Crystal Occasions for doing a great job coordinating the day!

Venue: Casa Blanca on Brushy Creek
DJ: Byrne Rock Mobile DJ Service

For the Love of Photography

Stan and I shot the most lovely fall wedding this past weekend. It was filled to the brim with gorgeous details, stunning evening sun, and beautiful people. I cannot wait to share a full post with many of my favorites from the day, but for now, I had to share just this one.

I’ve been shooting weddings for over 13 years now – can you believe it?! I am blessed beyond measure and this photography business we’ve built is one of the greatest gifts in my life. I am telling you the honest truth when I say that I still, completely, wholeheartedly LOVE being a photographer. I am deeply, deeply grateful that I get to enjoy a career that is so richly fulfilling.

As I was sorting through all of the pictures from Ginger and Colby’s wedding last weekend, I came across this shot that Stan took and I immediately feel in love with wedding photography all over again. It’s pictures like these that still take my breath away and leave me feeling like the luckiest person on the planet. To get to share these precious moments with you, friends, is the greatest joy.
