Livin’ la vida loca!

Hey internet world!

Just wanted to pop my head in and let you know I haven’t fallen off the face of the planet! In fact, I’ve been doing a LOT of living – and working – in the past few weeks, which has left my office chair cold and alone and my blog seemingly un-loved. Never fear: I’ve been busy racking up tooooons of shoots to share with you soon! Until then, here’s just a couple of previews . . .

Quin crawls!

We’ve often joked that once Quin learns how to crawl, we will have raised him well, and it would then be time for him to get a job. ๐Ÿ™‚ Well, folks – that time has finally come! Quin has been crawling backwards and in a circle for about a month and now, at the ripe ole age of 9 months, Quin can crawl forwards. He is still a bit wobbly, but we LOVE it and are so proud of our little man! He learned to crawl just a couple days ago in Southlake at Stan’s parents’ house, so it was fun to share this milestone with the family! ๐Ÿ™‚

Baby Turner’s 2 Week Portraits

A few months ago, I had the pleasure of capturing sweet little baby Turner’s newborn portraits. He was a mere 2 weeks old and oh-so-precious! I was amazed at how quickly I had forgotten how tiny, wrinkly, and sleepy a newborn is. ๐Ÿ™‚ I absolutely fell in love with this little guy and can’t wait to shoot him again in November!

I love the neck stretch . . .

Turner seriously slept for 99.5 percent of our session! Good thing he looks PERFECT while he’s sleeping!

I almost ate those sweet baby toes . . . true story. ๐Ÿ™‚

As much as it pained me to get this next shot, I recognized how sweet it would be to catch a shot of Turner with the A&M hat that his Grandpa had gotten for him! ๐Ÿ™‚

Arlin and Sharon are such natural parents. They’re so calm, gentle, and sweet.

As I walked through the house, collecting items for our session, I stumbled upon a bunch of old Dr. Seuss books that Sharon had when she was a baby. What a special thing to now pass along to her little guy!

I had to show you just a couple of shots I took of Turner’s room as he was eating before bed. The shot on the left is of a lamp that Sharon had as a baby that they now use in Turner’s room. I had the same one as a baby, too! I love it! The shot on the right makes me SO happy. ๐Ÿ™‚

Triple Threat!

It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost 9 months that my friends Christin, Hannah, and I have been moms! We’ve been so blessed to have one another, along with many other friends, to walk this new road of mommy-hood with. In the beginning, we sat together bleary-eyed and discussed what we should do to get our newborns to sleep. We fretted together as the first teeth came in and we were introduced to nighttime fits and biting. ๐Ÿ™‚ We laughed together when our babies discovered their voices and began to “talk” to us and to each other. And, most recently, we sweated it out together as we attempted to keep our kiddos wrangled at a friend’s birthday party because they’ve all begun crawling (for Quin, it’s just backwards and in a circle, so far ๐Ÿ™‚ ) and our lives are over! What a gift to have each other!

Without further ado, I introduce you to “The Triplets”:

Quin (born 10-11-09),ย  Salem (born 10-8-09), and Garrett (born 10-9-09).ย  They look so sweet and innocent, but I have a feeling these three will be trouble in the future! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope everyone had a great 4th! We’re enjoying some time with the fam today . . . burgers, the pool, and tall glasses of iced tea. I love you, America! ๐Ÿ™‚
