Jay and Shelly’s Wedding

I was so honored when Jay contacted me a few months ago about photographing he and his lovely fiancee Shelly’s wedding. You see, Stan and I had the privilege of shooting Jay’s wonderful daughter Stephanie’s wedding to Bret in 2008 and we have continued to keep in touch with them ever since. Stephanie and Bret are one of our absolute favorite couples we’ve ever shot, so I was SO excited to reunite with Steph’s family for Jay’s wedding at Trois Estates. It was really fun to shoot and I loved seeing Jay so adorably smitten with Shelly! 🙂 Here are a few favorites from their big day!

Rebecca’s Senior Portraits

I hope you all have been enjoying the holidays! Look for much more from me on this blog come the new year . . . I think changes are coming . . . probably in the form of an “I-will-blog-more-I-promise” resolution! 🙂

I met up with Rebecca for her senior portraits a week ago and I had such a fun time! She is so sweet and gorgeous . . . and was just perfect in front of the camera!

I’m thinking it will probably be a while before senior portraits for the 2011 seniors start up, but I’ve SO enjoyed photographing the awesome girls I’ve gotten to meet in the class of 2010!

If you’re going to be a senior next year or if you know a senior, don’t delay in getting in touch with me ASAP to set up a session!

Steve and Lesa’s Wedding

If there has ever been a sweeter couple in all the land, I do not know of them! 🙂

Steve and Lesa have won my praises and my heart – not only because of their beautiful personalities and how much we enjoyed shooting their wedding, but because of the sympathy and compassion they showed us after my dad got sick. Their wedding was the day before he went to the hospital and was the last time I remember feeling “normal”. However, I am thankful to say that I’m learning a new “normal” and it’s really not terrible – it’s just different. God has answered our prayers for grace and peace – and we’re making it through this.

Thank you to Steve and Lesa, as well as all of our other clients – everyone has been so caring and loving during this time and we greatly appreciate all of you!

So, without further ado, here are some of my favorites from Steve and Lesa’s wonderful wedding at The Wild Onion Ranch. Lesa has a beautiful sense of style and every last detail was just SO nice! Many thanks to the fantastic gals at Jennifer’s Gardens (one of my very favorite florists!) for putting together the most gorgeous bouquets, table arrangements, and ceremony decor! Everything looked awesome!

Please see the following several pictures as a beautiful example of why each couple should consider a “first look” and should set aside some time for gorgeous bride and groom shots on their wedding day! 🙂 Of course, I always tell my couples they should do what they want, but I was SOOO excited that Steve and Lesa chose to see one another before their ceremony for these fun pictures!
