To honor my father . . .

It is with a heavy heart that I share with you all why I’ve been so absent from the blog lately . . .

This past Saturday, my dad unexpectedly and tragically passed away.

My father was one of my dearest friends and was just the greatest dad in the universe. Everyone who knew him loved and respected him so much. He was endlessly giving, loving, trustworthy, funny, faithful, and strong. This is a tremendous loss for our family, but also for the world – he had so much more left to give.

This picture is my favorite one of my dad. This was taken last year after we had just told them we were expecting.  I had never seen such a sweet smile on my dad’s face. 🙂 He was so excited and so proud to become a Grandpa!

I wanted to share this with you because I want to be real about what’s going on with me. I’ll be in and out of the office over the next couple of weeks . . . taking time to grieve, help my mom take care of the millions of decisions and things that need to take place in my dad’s absence, and of course, taking care of our sweet little Quin, who still deserves all the love and attention in the world.

In a time like this I feel so lucky to have such a HAPPY job – one that takes me right into the middle of the most joyful day of my clients’ lives and reminds me that, though sometimes sad and tragic, life is also very sweet and to be celebrated.

Much love,
Stacy

What I’m looking at all day . . .

. . . is this sweet little man who’s stolen my heart. 🙂 Here are some pictures I took of our adorable Quin (3 weeks old) after my heart broke at the thought of ever forgetting exactly what he looks like while he’s this tiny. We are SO blessed with each day that passes with our son. Words cannot express the joy we feel!

Thank you Lord for Quin’s gorgeous RED hair! What a knockout!

He just takes my breath away.
