Awaiting our Quin!

Stan and I have now entered the ever-exciting “any day now” phase of waiting for our sweet baby boy to make his arrival! I had NO idea how hard this wait would be, but I’m doing my best to remember that I need to cherish this time of rest and preparation. ๐Ÿ™‚ We could not be more excited to welcome Quin into our world and we cannot even imagine the love we’re going to feel for him, considering how much we already LOVE him!

I wanted to share a few pics from his nursery, which is finally *almost* done! All I have left to do is go grab his changing pad and decide what picture I want to put in that huge black frame you see there over his changing table. ๐Ÿ™‚ What do you think? I love it!

My dear friend Amy made this cute “Quin” decoration and I just adore it!

Here’s a more up-close picture of Quin’s crib blanket, which I just love! We’ve been calling him “Monkey” from the beginning, so it just fits! ๐Ÿ™‚

One of my favorite things to do is to go into Quin’s room and look at his sweet little clothes all laundered and ready for him to wear. I’ll just sit there and imagine his squishy little self filling them out and my heart is filled with excitement! Actually, Stan and I both spend a lot of time in Quin’s room these days. I caught Stan doing his school reading in my nursing chair the other day, which was just the sweetest thing. ๐Ÿ™‚

And here’s a family photo (Buddy’s too good to look at the camera, apparently!) taken by my friend Sarah Q the other day . . .

We’ll see you soon, Quin! We can’t wait!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Sara and Katie’s Senior Portraits

Sara and Katie and I got together a couple of weeks ago for their fabulous Twice as Fun! Senior Session and we had a blast! These two are HILARIOUS and gorgeous – a great combination for killer photographs! If you’re interested in a senior session, I’ll begin shooting again in November, so get in touch with me TODAY to get your beautiful self on my calendar! ๐Ÿ™‚

Natalie’s Maternity Portraits

Natalie is one of my very closest friends and, while she’s been in front of my camera before, there was a special sweetness to her maternity session. You see, baby Sam (who has since been born!) and baby Quin are destined for BFF-hood, along with their friend, Baby Jordan. Ever since Tash, Nat, and I found out that we were all having boys, we’ve referred to our little guys as the “three amigos”. Quin’s the only one left to make his appearance, which we’re all praying will be soon! ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, before Natalie gave birth to her beautiful baby boy, I had the chance to document her gorgeous belly and full-on pregnancy glow! She was amazing! Here are a few of my favorites . . .

Some Maternity Portraits (OF ME!!)

Last night I got together with my dear friends and fellow photographers Sarah Quiara and Jennifer Nichols for a fabulous maternity session! I love these girls SOOO much and I am so lucky that they love me, too and wanted to put me in front of their cameras. ๐Ÿ™‚ These two girls are so talented and it is such a huge gift to have them capture me during this amazing time! Sarah posted a few pics from our session last night on her blog and I LOVE em! Here’s a couple of my favorites:

THANK YOU, Sarah! ๐Ÿ™‚

Jacob and Catherine’s Wedding

Here it is . . . our last wedding before the arrival of our baby boy! We could not have asked to go out (on maternity + paternity leave ๐Ÿ™‚ ) on a better note!

Our lives have been so enriched over the past year by our getting to know our sweet friends and across-the-street neighbors, Catherine and Jacob. These two are just wonderful together and we were so honored when they asked us to capture their big day for them. It means SO much when we get to be a part of our friends’ weddings and we LOVE shooting them!

Jacob and Catherine’s gorgeous wedding and reception both took place at Barr Mansion in Austin. Every detail of their day was beautifully overseen by Beth Walker and her crew from 36th Street Events and the incredible floral arrangements were put together by the very talented Monique Capanelli with Articulture Designs. J&C picked such an awesome team of professionals, which made the day that more smooth and enjoyable . . . thanks to everyone involved!

Jacob and Catherine: Photographing your wedding day was such a huge honor for Stan and I. We cannot thank you enough for including us and trusting us to capture all of these awesome moments and more! We love you tons and hope you’re having fun in Morocco. We’ve been picking up your mail, as promised, and only opening the really fun-looking wedding gifts! ๐Ÿ™‚

Some of the gorgeous details of their wedding . . . .

OH, and Catherine found this AMAZING lady on Etsy who custom designs cake toppers to look exactly like the bride and groom – soooo cute! (I’ll get the girl’s info from Catherine and post it here asap!)

Catherine has such an amazing sense of style and she’s so uniquely beautifully and elegant.

I ADORE the way that Catherine’s mom is looking at her as she gets ready.

Catherine – I don’t need to tell you how cute you are, do I?!

I am such a sucker . . . for seer, that is! ๐Ÿ™‚

Every one of these girls rocked the canary like it’s going out of style!

Wow . . . just wow.

During the ceremony, a butterfly came and landed on Catherine’s stunning dress. You could hear gasps of amazement from everyone in the audience, which were quickly followed by about five million camera clicks. I think we got a pretty good shot on the right here! ๐Ÿ™‚

One of my favorite things about a wedding is watching the groom’s face as he looks at his bride and Jacob was as sweet as he could be!

Oh happy day!

This is Jacob’s fantastic brother Tucker giving a toast . . . what a cool guy! Tucker: thanks for giving Stan lots of good law school advice – you’re the bomb!
I want to marry this picture . . . . but I won’t . . . . cause that’s weird . . . . and I’m already married.

Hahahahaha – YES!

Colin – we really like you, dude!

Congratulations, you guys!
