Silas and Karen’s Wedding

These two are just awesome together! I’ve been looking forward to Karen and Silas’s wedding since I met them several months ago at Starbucks. We laughed like crazy together (especially when the barista wrote “Silence” on Silas’s coffee cup because he thought that was what his name was!) and hit it off like we had been friends for years! Having this kind of connection with my brides and grooms makes every step of working with them sweet as pie cake! ๐Ÿ™‚

Silas and Karen had a beautiful ceremony at Holy Word Lutheran Church, followed by a lovely church reception, and a dinner reception at Avery Ranch Golf Club. The whole evening was such a joy – complete with a reenactment of the famous Chris Brown wedding party introduction, a cake AND cupcakes (yall know I was in heaven!), and some of the most fun dancing you’ve ever seen! Here are a few of my favorites from their day . . .

Karen is the laughiest (word or not?!), happiest bride I’ve EVER worked with! ๐Ÿ™‚

And I luh, luh, LOVED her dress! (yes I am a dweeb!)

The tie tying always takes concentration. You should probably stick your tongue out for extra focus! ๐Ÿ™‚

I love these next two moments immediately following the ceremony . . .

This one for obvious reasons ๐Ÿ™‚

And this one just because of the sheer look of joy on Silas’s mom’s face as she’s hugging her new daughter-in-law! Adorable!

How can you not laugh looking at these guys?!

Belly Update!

Hey everyone!
I’ve gotten a ton of requests for baby belly pictures, so I am reluctantly posting one here so you’ll leave me alone! ๐Ÿ™‚ Haha! I’m actually having my maternity pictures shot in mid-September so I’m nice and HUGE and I’ll be sure to share some of those with you then! I’ll give you the pregnancy update, too, so here we go:

1) I am feeling GREAT and am so very happy to say that, so far, my 3rd and final trimester is going very well!

2) We are in the home stretch, people – just about a month and a half before baby Quin makes his arrival. We can’t wait!

3) I’m kind of over the ice cream thing, but I had my FIRST “gotta have it NOW” craving recently – CAKE! ๐Ÿ™‚ I had to settle for brownies, but hey – I was happy! I am soooo lucky to be a wedding photographer and to get to eat cake every weekend – yum!

4) Baby Quin is the most squidgy and squirmy little monster ever! My favorite thing about pregnancy is feeling him move all day long – what a little miracle! Stan and I just sit and watch my belly jiggle around with each movement in the evenings – endless entertainment!

5) I’m still shooting and going strong! We only have ONE wedding left before my due date, but so far, it’s been a breeze to keep going. We shot a wedding last weekend and this weekend and they were both easy-peasy – what a blessing!

6) I’m getting lots and lots of rest – remembering that there won’t be much of that once Quin gets here. ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s a picture that Stan grabbed at our wedding last weekend. I am officially rocking the heck out of my belly and I love it! There’s no denying somebody’s in there now!

Hannah’s Senior Portraits

You know how I told you yesterday that I love shooting families? Weeeeell, I LOOOOOVE shooting seniors, too! And sweet, fabulous Hannah was so charming and adorable for her sesh that we couldn’t help but get tons of great shots of her! Somebody on facebook told me that I look like I could be Hannah’s sister, which I will take as a big ole compliment because she’s on-fire-cute!

Do a little dance, Hanny!

GORGEOUSNESS x 5 billion.

I also had to get a shot of Hannah with her gorgeous sister Rebekah and mom Kim – the ladies behind the fabulous Villa St. Clair!

The Laborde Family

You guys – I SO so so so LOVE shooting family portraits! But I especially love it when I get to work with a family as warm, welcoming, and beautiful as the Labordes. Stan and I joined Barbara, Carroll, and all of their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren out on their beautiful property in Kyle to capture some great moments of the 25 (yes twenty-five!) of them enjoying their time together. It was an absolute blast! And even though I was a sweaty 7-months-pregnant waddling momma, I enjoyed every second of my bopping around their ranch, doing what I love! I just wanted to share a few of my favorite family pictures from their session with you guys!

When I was photographing this next little fam, I asked them if there were any particular pictures they knew they wanted. Their sweet little girl responded “let’s have a family hug picture!” How adorable!

The matriarch and patriarch of the family: Carroll and Barbara . . . I adore them!

Squirmy Houston!

And the baby girls. ๐Ÿ™‚

Labordes: Just writing this post about you guys has brought a huge smile to my face all over again! Stan and I loved our morning with you and hope to continue to watch your family grow over the years! Thank you so much for sharing your day with us! ๐Ÿ™‚
