Mike and Betsey’s Wedding

Mike and Betsey are one of the most unique couples we have ever worked with and we had so much fun getting to see their true personalities come alive in every little detail of their wedding day. Though I had met Mike and Betsey before, I had only shot Betsey’s bridals, so I hadn’t really gotten a chance to know them as well, as a couple, as I normally do when I get to shoot an engagement session. For Stan and I, that made it all the more special as their day unfolded to reveal very special touches that made it all their own. From a very meaningful and spiritual ceremony, to the wildest coreographed (YES, that’s right) dance party of all time – these guys’ personalities shined all day long! We truly enjoyed the day with them!

Here are a few of my favorite highlights from their day . . .

Their wedding was held at one of our favorite venues – Nature’s Point on Lake Travis. Each details was beautifully overseen by Jeff and his team from Austin Wedding Planners. Absolutely STUNNING flowers by Beth with Exquisite Petals. Great job, everyone!

The girls share a prayer before the big walk down the isle. This was one of my favorite moments of the whole day. Betsey wanted to say the prayer and right in the middle of it, the reality of what was about to happen sunk in and she became uncontrollably giddy and adorable! She was just the most lovely bride. ๐Ÿ™‚

Mike and Betsey opted to see one another before their ceremony to allow for a more relaxed wedding day schedule. It could not have been better!

I’m posting this picture mostly because I just LOVE the attire Betsey chose for the flower girls and ring bearers . . . soooo cute!

Mike taking his nervous walk down the isle. Good thing his sweet momma was there to walk the path with him!

I love these moments . . .

Betsey’s father passed away a few years ago, but his memory and his spirit were so present on her wedding day. In this picture, Betsey’s brother is reading a letter that her father wrote with the intention of having it read to her on her wedding day, knowing he would not be able to be there physically. It was – truly – the most moving moment I have ever witnessed in the many ceremonies we have been a part of. Just beautiful.

Yay – married!

Loved these girls!

The reception site was decorated sooooo well!

Being introduced for the first time as Mr. and Mrs! ๐Ÿ™‚

Cakes by Blue Note Bakery . . . yum!

I know what you’re thinking . . . “this looks like a lovely, calm, subdued bunch of polite and quiet wedding guests.” Um, NO – think again! They were the craziest bunch of party animals in the world! Little known fact: Bestey is a member of an all-girl hip-hop dance troupe called Super Sonic Soul Squad and they are AMAZING! The did three routines for the crowd who, of course, was going NUTS! ๐Ÿ™‚ Awesome!!

Betsey and Mike ended their evening with a fun photo booth sesh before taking off. ๐Ÿ™‚

Congrats, Mrs. and Mr. Sweety Bird! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks again for having Stan and I along to document your incredible day – it was so much fun!

Thank God I’m done with that! ๐Ÿ™‚ So, though my inbox is nice and clean and empty (see below), I still have a bunch of catching up to do, but am looking forward to blogging like crazy this week, so stay tuned! ๐Ÿ™‚

This is the ACTUAL screen shot of my inbox – taken just minutes ago. ๐Ÿ™‚ It is slightly bazarre how happy this sight makes me. ๐Ÿ™‚

Ed and Suzie’s Wedding

Ed and Suzie are one of my favorite couples that I’ve ever worked with and we were so excited when it was finally time to shoot their beautiful wedding out at Canyon Springs Golf Club in San Antonio. The day was gorgeous and the party was a blast!

Thanks to Simply Chic Weddings for helping the day run smoothly!

We love working at Canyon Springs – it’s so pretty!

Ed is such a ham on the dance floor and I love it! ๐Ÿ™‚

Congrats, guys! ๐Ÿ™‚
