Ann and Howard’s Wedding!

I remember sitting at Jason’s Deli with Ann and her mother Debbie like it was yesterday. As we shared lunch, I opened the floor for them to tell me anything and everything they thought I would want to know about Ann and Howard’s wedding. As they spoke, with excitement rising in each of their voices, I felt that all-familiar warmth in my heart – the “I have to shoot this wedding” feeling.

The first thing I did when I left my lunch with Ann and her mother was say a quick but heartfelt prayer that God would allow me the joy of sharing Ann and Howard’s wedding day with them. Just a few short days later I received a call from Debbie, letting me know that Ann and Howard had decided they wanted to hire us. I was THRILLED! I knew from day one that this was going to be a gorgeous wedding and it most certainly was.

I’ve picked just a few of my favorites for the blog – and trust me when I say there are MANY more favorites, but there’s quite a lot going on right now, so I only have time to post these few.ย  Ann and Howard are not really blog people (it’s okay – I forgive them! ๐Ÿ™‚ ) but guys – if you do stop by, know that Stan and I really enjoyed our time with you and cannot wait to share the rest of your fabulous pictures with you. Have a wonderful and relaxing honeymoon!

Ann is such a classic beauty!

And she happens to be friends with a lot of other beauties!

The guys were able to keep up a bit in the looks department. ; )

Oh yeah!

Do you know where I can say “Aloha” to some linen pants?!

Hey everyone!

Hope your Friday is going well and that you’re preparing for a wonderful weekend! I am on a mission today: to find some linen pants for our upcoming 5th Anniversary Vay-Cay to HAWAII!!! Yippee! The problem is, I’ve been to quite a few places and nobody has linen pants this year. What’s up with that? Did I miss the duh-linen-pants-are-totally-out memo?! I just remember how great it was to have some really casual linen pants to wear around when we were there the first time. We even got Stan some linen pants! Anyway, if anyone knows who has linen pants these days, if you could leave a comment, I will send you a big, huge virtual hug! ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a great day!

Taylor and Liz’s Wedding: Part 2

Welcome back! As I mentioned yesterday, Taylor and Liz had an absolutely crazy-awesome reception filled with lots of laughter and some pretty mean dancing. ๐Ÿ™‚ Their reception was held at the gorgeous Terrace Club and the staff there did an incredible job to make sure that every detail was perfect. Here are a few of our favorites from the reception portion of their lovely day!

A little more up-close look at their incredible table decor. Jennifer’s Gardens was the florist and they always do an amazing job! Liz actually saw an arrangement that Jennifer had done about a year ago for another bride of mine on my blog and that’s how she decided to use Jennifer – isn’t that great?! Jennifer is one of the best in the biz!

Liz’s wonderful dad, James.

Okay. This was funny. One of the groomsmen was a complete maniac on the dance floor – especially when he decided to give the tiny little ring bearers some dance lessons. It was definitely one of the highlights of the night – everyone was in stitches!

Again, same groomsman here with Taylor. ๐Ÿ™‚

Uh huh. SAME groomsman caught the garter – in style.

And last, but not least, my favorite picture of the day – taken by Stan – the exit:

Taylor and Liz’s Wedding: Part 1

Wow! This wedding, due to it’s sheer fabulousness, is going to have to be broken up into two parts. I’ll start pre-reception today and then post some hilarious pics from their reception tomorrow – stay tuned!

Taylor and Liz are one of my very favorite couples I have ever had the pleasure of working with. It’s so much fun to work with people that you would be friends with in “normal life” and Liz and Taylor are two of those people. They both just completely know how to make everyone around them feel like their very best friend! Throughout the entire process of getting ready for their big day, we have received more “Thank Yous” from these guys and their family and friends than I think anyone on the earth should ever get! Every time they say it, I think “Good gracious, thank YOU!” because it truly is our joy to be a part of this time in their lives and to get to help tell their story. What an honor!! Here are a few of our favorites from the first half of their wedding day.

Seeing each other just before the ceremony . . .

more from the off-the-hook-rockin’est-reception tomorrow . . .

Getting the greens in!

Hey guys! Now, I am not the healthiest kid on the block and I try not to give health or fitness advice too often because I’m certainly no expert, but I wanted to share a little tip with you guys that I’ve discovered about getting my greens in! ๐Ÿ™‚

I found that I was having trouble eating salads and raw veggies during the day because I was simply too lazy to get everything out, wash it, cut it, and mix it. However, I have found that if I cut up three times as much of everything and just stick it in the salad spinner in the refrigerator, then I only have to overcome my laziness once every three times I want some veggies!

What I do is cut up about one whole head of romaine lettuce, about half of an entire broccoli crown, maybe some carrots, possible a bell pepper, and one large tomato. I place the romaine, broccoli, carrots, and bell pepper in the salad spinner, spin away, and take out what I want to eat right then. Then I place the rest of the veggies in the salad spinner into the refrigerator for later. I cut up the entire tomato and place it in another container. Now, when I think I may be inspired to eat a salad, I’ve made it the easiest thing in my entire kitchen to make! I simply pull out the salad spinner, give it a spin (for those wilted lettuce leaves), and pick out what I want! I stick a few tomato slices on top, maybe grab some nuts and/or cheese crumbles, pour on my dressing, and I have my salad all ready to eat in less than 2 minutes. This has definitely increased my veggie intake by at least 3x! Try it out! ๐Ÿ™‚

My salad from lunch yesterday – lettuce, tomato, pine nuts, feta cheese, olive oil and vinegar. This was a pretty simple one.
