Ronnie and Kelsey’s Wedding

Ronnie and Kelsey’s wedding day fell on one of the most lovely days of the year here in Austin. Between the gorgeous weather and their beautiful details, this was one of the most incredible weddings we’ve ever had the pleasure of shooting. I could go on and on about all of Kelsey’s creative ideas and attention to detail, but I’ll let the pictures do the talking this time. Suffice it to say, it was stunning – and the beauty of it all just matched the beauty of the union that was made that day. Kelsey and Ronnie are simply perfect together. We’ve had time to grow in knowing them and their families more intimately than we normally get to with our clients, so their wedding day felt more like a family reunion for us than work! ๐Ÿ™‚ We love them so much and had such a great time capturing their day for them!
VENUE: Mercury Hall

I told you these details were incredible! I guess I don’t need to tell you how much I loved their colors. ๐Ÿ™‚

They had a FUN dance party, thanks in large part to the fabulous DJ styling of Look No Further Entertainment!

Ronnie and Kelsey’s wedding day has finally arrived and Stan and I could not feel more excited about shooting their glorious day. The sun is shining and the weather is amazing . . . both of which make me feel like today was meant to be – for them – perfect. They’ve weathered an incredible storm this year and I can’t help but feel that this gorgeous day is God’s promise that there is joy and hope and LOVE on the other end of life’s biggest challenges. Love you, K&R.

Matt and Sarah’s Wedding

Stan and I had not met Sarah and Matt until we arrived on their wedding day. I had spoken and emailed with Sarah so much that I sort of felt like I knew her and half expected to recognize her when I saw her on her wedding day. I definitely did not! In fact, Sarah was so strikingly unique and beautiful that she really took my breath away when I first saw her. It might have something to do with the fact that her GORGEOUS red hair very much resembles that of the most handsome little man I’ve ever seen, but who knows? ๐Ÿ™‚ While I won’t say that Matt took my breath away (only Stanbo can do that! ๐Ÿ™‚ ), I will say that he’s so adorable and kind and makes a perfect match for Sarah! Stan and I truly enjoyed our entire day with these guys and were so blessed to get to photograph all the fun that took place!

Reason #342 and a Sneak Peek!

Almost as naturally as I am an external processor, I am very much a deep thinker. I spend most of my day having philosophical discussions in my mind, and often about things that should never, ever be over-thought. ๐Ÿ™‚ However, one thing I do a LOT of thinking about is the importance of having good pictures of life’s most valuable memories. I think a lot about WHY good photography is important . . . and when it comes to weddings, I always come to the same basic conclusion: having good photography (and good photographERS) is important because you only get one chance to document your one and only wedding day WELL.

I received an email from Sarah (Sarah and Matt were married this past Saturday and we shot their wedding) the other day that really opened my eyes to an entirely different side of why it’s important to have good photographers there to capture your big day (reason #342, if you’re keeping count ๐Ÿ™‚ ) and I asked her if I could share it with you. I plan on doing an extended post with many more photos from their day, but for now, here’s a little sneak peek, along with this wonderful email from Sarah!

Reason #342: So you don’t have to spend your wedding day worrying that you won’t remember your wedding day

Thank you guys so, so much for everything last night. We had an absolutely fabulous time, and what helped us to be able to enjoy ourselves was knowing that you and Stan were capturing the evening for us. I know I will never be able to remember every single aspect, and as much as I tried to stop every now and then to look around and take it all in, it was hard to do while trying to chat with everyone, get all the main events in, etc. Thank you so much for taking the time and the care to photograph our wedding day… a day that we will never want to forget and, thanks to your beautiful work, we won’t.

Have a great week and we can’t wait to see the pictures in a few weeks!

Adam and Stephanie’s Wedding!

The gorgeous wedding of two amazingly beautiful people . . . what more could you want? ๐Ÿ™‚

We know where Stephanie got her gorgeous looks – her mom is just stunning here on the left . . .

I love this shot of Adam checking out the sanctuary just before the wedding. ๐Ÿ™‚

Though we were only allowed to shoot from the balcony, I loved the moody lighting of the church and the feel that it gave our pictures. Pretty cool!

They’re just beautiful, aren’t they?!

I love it when Stan and I make a rare appearance in a photo . . .

^^^ Did you see us up there? If not, look again! ๐Ÿ™‚ ^^^

I could make a fortune if I could bottle Adam’s smile and sell it. He’s just wonderful!

Sooo sweet.

Mmmmm . . . cake. ๐Ÿ™‚

The photo on the right features two of my very good friends from high school, Weston and Mary (both on the left side of the photo). Love those guys!

Stephanie’s pretty pumped for that drink he’s making her . . .

One day I’m going to attend a wedding as a guest and, by gosh, I’m gonna do the wild hair dance! LOVE IT!

Spinning the “basketball” on his finger. Priceless!

God.Only.Knows.ย  Really, I have no idea ๐Ÿ™‚ . . .
